Science

Marine Science leads us to ‘Critical Habitats’.

These are the important places worth protecting, immediately.

For 14 years we have supported projects tagging & tracking marine apex predators (mostly sharks) to the places crucial for ocean health.

2.9% of our ocean is currently protected.

We need to find more Critical Habitats.

Marine Reserves

Marine Protected Areas, when done right, allow these ‘critical habitats’ to heal.

Fish spill over into adjacent oceans.

We support marine reserves globally through outreach, education & tourism.

Marine Reserves mean more food for more people.

People

We need a workforce to share, protect, fix, administer, promote & implement better & more protected areas.

Our RockHopper Academy trains these Ocean Champions.

Skills and qualifications mean more people earning from non-consumptive use of reserves.
