Natural History Filmmaker
Grant Brokensha is an award-winning Natural History Filmmaker whose work has made significant contributions towards bridging the gap between wildlife and society. With over 20 years of cinematic experience, he has captivated global audiences with his immersive style of visual storytelling.

Assignments in freshwater waterways to remote mountain tops have taken Grant to some of the world’s most feared and unexplored areas, alongside iconic species of wildlife such as African lions, pumas, bull sharks and Nile crocodiles.
As one of the earliest pioneers in filming Nile crocodiles underwater, he is among the most experienced cinematographers to capture crocodiles in their underwater habitats.
Grant has worked with a host of international producers & broadcasters including National Geographic, Netflix, Smithsonian Channel, Icon films, Terra Mater Factual Studios, Earth Touch & Curiosity Stream.
His impressive list of credits include Hippo vs. Croc (National Geographic), The Ocean’s Greatest Feast (PBS Nature), Speed Kills (Smithsonian Channel) and Predators (Sky TV/Netflix, coming soon).
Further credits include Epic Animal Migrations: Mexico, which was nominated for one of the highest accolades in entertainment i.e. an Emmy award for Outstanding Cinematography in 2021. Similarly, Grants recent work Pumas: Legends of the Ice Mountains was also nominated for an Emmy for outstanding cinematography in 2022.
Grant was honoured with the highly esteemed South African Wildlife Cinematographer of the Year award in 2017.
